Natalie Wood October 28th, 2000 Sixth Period Personal Narrative Personal Narrative: An Idol: Yanni Yanni is an incredibly special person in many people's lives. He is an inspirational musician. He is also a very respectful man. Yanni is and should be an idol for the youth of America. One can never forget the first time they have heard Yanni. It is even harder to forget seeing Yanni actually perform. Even has a young child, Natalie could remember hearing Yanni's stunning piano melodies flow from the television as it was set on PBS. His music has touched millions of hearts as well as millions of souls. He is an inspiration to many piano players and saxophone players in the world today. He is a prime example of perfection and music in the raw. He is a beautiful sight to behold. Yanni was not very rich when he was growing up. Yanni was not poverty stricken either. Yanni is an example of someone who has created him or herself. He is the embodiment of pure music. He was never stopped reaching for his dream. Never stopping got him very far in life. Not only is he incredibly wealthy, but he is happy and doing something that he loves. He should be respected for never giving up hope. Yanni is not a quitter. Yanni is not a hoodlum. Yanni is not a thief or a liar. If the youth of America were more like Yanni, we would be living in a happy nation. The youth of today has taken quite a turn over the past few decades. Teenagers used to be innocent and hard working. Kids today have become greedy and uninspired - very unlike Yanni. The people of this great nation known as America need to learn to have faith in themselves and have ambition for what they love. I believe Yanni should be looked to so he may radiate such lessons. In conclusion, Yanni is an incredible man. Not only is he a wonderful, respectful man, but he is a powerful musician. He is a man that should be held in the public's eye with much respect and awe. There is no one else quite like Yanni.
